Katie Tremblay-Beaton

Katie Tremblay-Beaton is a dedicated professional with a diverse educational background and extensive experience in music education and curriculum development.

She holds a Master of Arts (MA) in Music Education from the University of Toronto, a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education with qualifications in Instrumental Music and English from the University of Windsor, a Bachelor's degree in Honours Music Education from the University of Windsor, and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Toronto.

Katie currently serves as an Assistant Professor at Trent University, where she imparts her knowledge and expertise in the field of music education. Her previous roles include being an AQ Course Instructor at the Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario, a Course Instructor at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, an AQ Course Instructor at Queen's University, a Course Instructor at Trent University, and a Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Toronto.

With a strong background in education and music, Katie also has practical experience in teaching as she previously worked as an Elementary School Teacher focusing on music and intermediate homeroom at the Durham District School Board. Additionally, she has served as an Orchestral Director at the Oshawa Little Theatre, a Musical Director at the Whitby Courthouse Theatre, and as a Musician in the Canadian Forces.

Katie Tremblay-Beaton's extensive academic achievements combined with her hands-on experience in various educational and musical settings make her a well-rounded professional in the field of music education.
