Sometimes people perceive incoming calls as intrusive and disruptive... However, they add value in specific contexts. Such as problem-solving situations or urgent customer queries.
Here are my 4 guidelines I follow before making a call:
→ When following up with clients, call at THEIR convenience, even after hours or on weekends. Make those first seconds engaging.
→ Call colleagues during business hours to respect their time and schedule.
→ When following up with unfamiliar contacts, call midday for a better chance of receptiveness during their work hours.
→ For better recall, call at the same time as before when following up with someone you've spoken to.
