Kayla Altland

Kayla Altland is a Learning Facilitator with a passion for helping others explore and find meaning in the world around them. She is dedicated to creating connections to local places, communities, and heritage.

Kayla holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Archaeology from Cornell University - College of Arts and Sciences and has also participated in an Archaeology Study Abroad Program at New York University.

Her professional journey includes roles such as Program Manager of Community Building at Park Pride, Grants and Communications Consultant at D & H CANAL HISTORICAL SOCIETY INC, Friends of the Park Associate at Park Pride, and Deputy Director for Administration at D & H CANAL HISTORICAL SOCIETY INC.

Kayla has also served in various positions at the National Park Service including Youth Programs Coordinator, Education Technician, Park Ranger of Interpretation, as well as in roles at The M.S. Hershey Foundation and Sciencenter.

With a wealth of experience in education, community building, heritage preservation, and program management, Kayla Altland continues to make a positive impact in empowering individuals to connect with their surroundings.
