Keith Robson

Keith Robson started his career as an electronic design engineer in the Aerospace sector with Schlumberger Industries.

He progressed to become the R&D Manager at Schlumberger Solartron and later the Managing Director of Beta Instrument, an industrial instrumentation company.

After successfully exiting Beta through a trade sale, he founded a startup specializing in automated vision inspection systems for quality control in factories.

Subsequently, Keith assumed the role of Managing Director at Peek Traffic Systems under ThemoElectron company.

Transitioning into the Higher Education sector in 2001, Keith focused on spinouts, startup formation, industrial collaboration, and business incubation.

During this period, he played a pivotal role in establishing the PARK seed fund and the Surrey 100 Business Angel Club, facilitating high-tech growth initiatives in the region.

His involvement extended to major projects like the £90 million University of Surrey 5G Innovation Centre.

Currently, Keith is dedicated to the not-for-profit sector, where he supports young engineers embarking on their careers in engineering while championing the UK manufacturing industry.

Keith Robson's specialties include change management, business turnaround, technology development, venture fundraising, startups, Higher Education sector engagement, research, spinouts, and not-for-profit initiatives.

He holds a BSc Hons 1st Class in Electronic Engineering from the University of Leeds.

Keith Robson has held various leadership positions in organizations such as HERACS Ltd, The ERA Foundation, UK5G, University of Surrey, Satellite Applications Catapult, Surrey Connects Ltd, SETsquared Partnership, Gatwick Diamond & West Sussex Innovation & Growth Team, and Brunel University.
