Kelly Luis is a dedicated professional with a strong educational background in Marine Science and Technology, holding a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD from the University of Massachusetts Boston, a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Environmental Science from Columbia University in the City of New York, and additional studies at University of Hawaii Maui College and Kamehameha Schools Maui.

Kelly's professional experience includes roles at prestigious organizations such as the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, where she served as a Research Assistant II and a Research Intern. Additionally, she has contributed to the National Science Foundation as an REU Intern, conducted research at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, and provided support as a Program Assistant at the Earth Institute Center for Environmental Sustainability.

Kelly has also gained valuable experience in the public sector, having interned at the U.S. House of Representatives under Congresswoman Mazie Hirono and at the Office of Economic Development in the County of Maui. Furthermore, she has showcased her organizational skills as a Business School Library General Assistant at Columbia University.
