Kelly Rand is the Founder and CEO of Handheld Handmade, Inc., a company that helps customers discover handmade items via text message.13 She launched Handheld Handmade in September 2018 as an innovative way to buy curated handmade products through text messaging.1

Rand is an author and has a background in art and craft. She holds a BFA in illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design and has exhibited her work in art galleries and craft fairs.1 She is the lead author of "Handmade to Sell: Hello Craft's Guide to Owning, Running and Growing Your Crafty Business" published by Potter Craft in 2012.2

In addition to her entrepreneurial ventures, Rand has contributed to the craft industry in various ways:
