A new financial filing is required for anyone who owns more than 25% of a business (this applies to most but not all companies). It is called a Beneficial Ownership Information report (BOI), and you have to file this report with the federal government website “Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FINCEN)” by the end of the year.

I just completed the forms for two of my businesses. The first one took me 10-15 minutes, and the second one took 5 minutes.

I recommend you fill out the PDF application instead of the online one. That way, if you have to change something, you only have to modify and resubmit the PDF, which is a bit clunky.

Before you start, scan your driver’s license and have it ready to upload.

See the first comment for the link to the website.

Hoo boy. These three photos are of the eastbound Washington Bridge middle lane near the easternmost part of the bridge. I don't know about you, but I will take my bridge without potholes or pavement split in two by a large crack.

That zigzag crack is problematic, as is the large depression vehicles hit as they exit the bridge. Is this bridge moving in a way that it should not be moving?

The pothole at the end of the bridge is over the last expansion joint, which means that water is pouring onto that joint when it rains. Mixing water and steel in a marine environment is never a good thing.

This section of the bridge appears to be actively degrading.

This bridge is vitally important. The governor and RI DOT must get more open about this crucial resource. Is the eastbound span degrading as we watch? If so, what steps will they take to reduce and fix the damage?

We cannot accept the DOT continuing to ignore failing infrastructure and only acting in the face of a crisis. Do your jobs!
