Circular Economy Systems and Scale (17 Oct 2022 online)

I was recently asked why this all matters to a CE. Its pretty fundamental to recognise that it matters if we have a desire for a CE which needs to be effective and not just efficient (and why the distinction matters!) Efficiency is in service to purpose after all...

It also has to do with understanding that complex systems are the real-world norm and they often have a fractal structure so must work at all scales. So for the CE adding value with what we have, rebuilding social and economic capitals, creating new opportunities for production, consumption and exchange (locally and regionally) is not just a 'nice to have'. Or so many would argue. Lets add in exploring different ownership models and digital platforms (ones which do not scale up but scale out perhaps) is also every bit as valuable as the five standard business models for CE at scale.

If this is something you'd like to discuss and debate then there is an opportunity in this day event - free to IS4CE members and supercheap for everyone else.
