Kenneth Shockley

Professor and Holmes Rolston III Chair in Environmental Ethics and Philosophy at Colorado State University

Kenneth Shockley is an accomplished philosopher with an extensive educational background. He obtained a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Washington University in St. Louis, an MA in Philosophy from SUNY at Buffalo, and studied Philosophy and Classics at the University of Warwick. He also holds a B.S. in Mathematics, Physics, and Philosophy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Currently, Kenneth Shockley serves as a Professor holding the Holmes Rolston III Chair in Environmental Ethics and Philosophy at Colorado State University. Prior to this, he held the positions of Associate Professor and Rolston Chair in Environmental Ethics and Philosophy at the same institution. He has also worked as the Director of the Sustainability Academy at the University at Buffalo, where he was previously an Associate Professor of Philosophy.

In addition to his academic positions, Kenneth Shockley has experience as a Term Assistant Professor at Barnard College and as a Lecturer in Philosophy at Chancellor College, University of Malawi, Zomba, Malawi. He has also dedicated his time to volunteer work with the Peace Corps.

Kenneth Shockley's diverse educational background and professional experience make him a respected figure in the field of philosophy, particularly in the areas of environmental ethics and sustainability.
