Kent Dolezal

Senior Lecturer in Economics at Vanderbilt University

Kent Dolezal is an economist and policy analyst, specializing in statistical and econometric modeling, rural economic development, and education. His current research focuses on undergraduate mentoring relationships, neighborhood composition, regional identity, and their impact on political views and quality of life issues. With extensive experience in microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometric theory, Kent excels in monetary theory, policy analysis, and economic development. He is skilled in time series, panel, and cross-sectional economic research techniques, including various models like ARIMA, VAR, VECM, ARCH, and GARCH. Kent has advanced proficiency in Stata, Eviews, and SPSS, along with intermediate skills in R, Excel (VBA), and SQL. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, an MPA in Public Affairs from the University of Minnesota, and a B.S. in Secondary Education from Montana State University-Northern. Currently, Kent serves as a Senior Lecturer in Economics at Vanderbilt University, having previously held positions at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, Paul Simon Public Policy Institute, SIUC, Lindenwood University, and as a Graduate Assistant at Southern Illinois University.
