Highlights
About a week later, I'm grateful that my account seems to be back in action, and mostly restored (minus all the posts I've made over the years).
Thanks to my amazing friend and cohost Natalie Shehata for letting our community know that my account was compromised.
Social media is the weirdest (yet very necessary) tool. We think we have control over what we create, but in the blink of an eye, it can be totally taken away - and all of those thoughts you've shared over different eras can disappear.
It's a powerful reminder to put your thoughts in safe spaces beyond the social platforms, so you can have those for yourself as well. Everything doesn't have to be for everyone.
Building knowledge and cultivating perspectives happens beyond these spaces as well. <3
