Khoi Vinh
Khoi Vinh is a prominent graphic designer and the Senior Director of Product Design at Adobe, a position he has held since March 2019. He previously served as a Senior Principal Designer at Adobe from August 2015 to March 2019. Early Life and Education
Born on December 3, 1971, in Saigon, South Vietnam, Vinh immigrated to the United States with his family when he was three years old. He grew up in Gaithersburg, Maryland, and graduated from Otis College of Art and Design in 1993 with a degree in Graphic Design.12
Career Highlights
Vinh's career began in the late 1990s when he co-founded the design studio Behavior in 2001. He later became the Design Director for NYTimes.com from January 2006 until July 2010. During his tenure, he was instrumental in shaping the digital presence of The New York Times.13 In 2011, he co-founded Lascaux Co., which launched the iPad app Mixel, later sold to Etsy in 2013.16
In addition to his work at Adobe, Vinh is also known for his writing on design and technology through his blog Subtraction.com and as the host of the podcast Wireframe, which explores design stories.37
Recognition
Vinh has been recognized as one of Fast Company's "Most Creative People in Business" and was named one of the "50 Most Influential Designers in America" by the same publication in 2011.13 His influence extends beyond design into discussions about the role of criticism and discourse in the field.4
