Humour is so important if you want your message to be heard. Whether you are presenting to your team or to a town hall, posting on your socials or selling, presenting or podcasting knowing how to inject a little humour really helps! So Dan and I are thinking about running a humour workshop… how anyone can add some funny by learning some of the simple techniques we’ve learned over years of creating content and doing speeches. Drop a ha ha if you are interested. Your audience really, really want you to do this!

HELP!

We need your vote! Don’t worry we haven’t joined a political party.

But Dan and I are excited to have 2 sessions up for the main stage at SXSW Sydney. But apparently you need to be popular to make the stage and get your friends and colleagues to vote. Apparently likes matter so please send a little like our way!

To share the love, ok like, you have to go to the conference website: https://lnkd.in/gAWzXFBi

And then here’s how to vote:

  1. Register: https://lnkd.in/gvE8u4QR
  2. Search for (a couple of the keywords should find it for you!) (A) “Forever Skills. In a world of change, what skills will be evergreen” AND    (B) Search for “Why playing to your strengths might be a strategic error.”
  3. Then, hit the vote button

You can vote for both sessions or choose your favourite.

The first session ‘forever skills’ will be a welcome relief for those who are in a panic about the future and concerned that Austrian-accented cyborgs are going to steal our jobs. We will all take a collective big breath and look at what will always matter skills wise even when we are working alongside AI.

The second, why playing to your strengths may be a strategic error, takes a contrarian view as we challenge some of the assumptions of the advice we”ve all heard, ‘play to your strengths’ and weaknesses will explain how your weakness can actually be your uniqueness, and the place that offers you the most uplift and opportunity.

Thanks for voting… and please also come along!
