Finding out about being laid off during vacation wasn’t exactly ideal...but I’ll always be grateful that I was with my support system when I found out. (Also huge thank you’s to the coworkers who reached out to let me know, and check in on me)
This is the second time I’ve been laid off in my career, and while I was devastated the first time, for better or worse, I’m a little more resigned to it now.
I’ve learned so much about myself and my working style during my time at HubSpot, focusing most of my time working on an Interviewer Enablement project in partnership with some amazing teammates in recruiting and L&D. I will always be grateful for the time I spent on the Recruiting Operations and Enablement team- such an amazing group of teammates who always struck the balance of driving impactful change, being extremely thorough, and always acting with empathy.
Starting this week I will be looking for another full time or contract role. I’m primarily looking for a remote role, but would be open to a hybrid role in the Portland/Vancouver Area.
✨ My interests: -Process improvement to drive efficiency and data integrity -Employee training and onboarding -Strategic planning for teams -DEIB focusing on supporting first gen and neurodiverse candidates
💪 My strengths: -Creating succinct onboarding trainings -Turning brainstorms into ideas and plans -Leading with empathy in all things -In-depth analysis and pattern recognition
If you're looking for a strategic driven teammate, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at [email protected].
Lastly, and maybe most importantly, to my fellow HubSpotters in the same position- happy to be a sounding board and support however I can; whether that’s coffee chats or accountability zooms to work on resumes or practice for interviews. You were hired at HubSpot for a reason and you are worthy of wonderful things. Layoffs are not a reflection of your work ethic or abilities. Onwards!

Excited to announce I'll be doing absolutely nothing (kinda)!
This is my first Week of Rest and I couldn’t be more excited. Grand plans for next week include:
-Taking Meeko on sunny walks -Decluttering the apartment -Listening to a bunch of audiobooks -Watching classic movies for the first time (I’ve never seen The Breakfast Club, Back to the Future, or Ghostbusters!) -Making progress on my paint by numbers canvas
Feeling grateful to be at a company that values recharging, and even more excited that there won’t be emails waiting for me when I get back.
PS- We're hiring ☺️ https://lnkd.in/emDF5H6A (You won't hear from us next week, though!)
