Kirk Alan Jones is an Adjunct Instructor in Finance at the University of Oklahoma's Price College of Business. He is a native of Wewoka, Oklahoma, and graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1988 with a bachelor's degree in business administration, concentrating in finance.1

After his undergraduate studies, Jones pursued an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin, graduating in 1991. His professional career includes:

  2. Participation in the finance development program at Texas Instruments
  3. A long career with Accenture and Avanade, where he worked for over 23 years, primarily in Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)1

Jones retired from Avanade in the summer of 2021 but remains actively engaged with the University of Oklahoma:

  • He has been a member of the President's Associates program for over 20 years
  • Currently serves as the chairman of the President's Associates Council
  • Board member of the National Black OU Alumni Society
  • Serves on the Board of Visitors for the Henderson Scholars Program
  • Serves on the Board of Visitors for the Department of Finance in the Price College of Business1

Throughout his time at OU as a student, Jones was involved in various organizations, including the Black People's Union Mass Gospel Choir, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, and the Black Business Association, holding leadership positions in several of these groups.1
