Kirsty Albion is the Executive Director at the Centre for Australian Progress. Since the start of the pandemic, she has led her team to train thousands of social changemakers and convene hundreds of nonprofits.24 She is experienced in campaigning, organizing, strategy, partnerships, organizational leadership and management, public speaking, coaching, training, and facilitation.3

Albion previously served as the National Director of the Australian Youth Climate Coalition for five years, where she ran campaigns to protect the reef, grow renewable energy, and keep fossil fuels in the ground.12 During her time as National Director, she grew the organization threefold, creating the largest climate campaigning team in the country.12 She has trained over 10,000 young people in communication, campaigning, and organizing and has supported the growth of the Seed Indigenous Youth Climate Network.12

Albion is the recipient of the Prime Minister’s Young Environmentalist of the Year award and was named Young Tasmanian of the Year in 2010.12
