Kirti Mutatkar is the President and Chief Executive Officer of UnitedAg, a member-owned agricultural trade association that provides health benefits, fosters the next generation of agricultural leaders, and advocates for its members' interests with lawmakers.3 UnitedAg serves over 55,000 members in the agricultural sector across California and Arizona, with plans to expand into Oregon and Colorado.263
Mutatkar assumed the role of CEO in May 2014.1 Since then, she has been encouraging innovative problem-solving to address the health and wellness needs of UnitedAg's members.2 Mutatkar emphasizes unity and is guided by the idea of strong roots and potential for expansion.2
Before becoming CEO, Mutatkar joined UnitedAg in 2001 and served as Chief Financial Officer for 10 years, beginning in May 2004.47 As CFO, she directed all operations, played a key role in a company reorganization, launched a Third Party Administration division, and developed a business plan to prepare UnitedAg for the Affordable Care Act.17 Prior to her role as CFO, Mutatkar was the Controller and Assistant Controller for United Agricultural Benefit Trust from September 2001 to April 2004.4
Mutatkar holds master's degrees in both finance and microbiology.1 She also completed the UCLA Anderson School of Management Executive Program.14 She currently serves as Treasurer for the Health Care Administrators Association (HCAA), is a Board Member for the Agricultural Council of California, and is a Director at Large for AgSafe.17 The Orange County Business Journal nominated Kirti for the 2018 "Women of the Year Awards," and she was awarded the "Reinvention" Award by the Association of Corporate Growth in Orange County.17
Mutatkar also leads the "This is Ag!" podcast series, which encourages listeners to think differently about how they lead their lives.5
