Klaus Badelt is the founder of Filmhub, a global film and TV distributor.124 He is also a Los Angeles-based, multi-award-winning film composer who has written music for over 100 studio and independent films.3
Badelt was born in Frankfurt, Germany, on June 12, 1967.57 Early in his career, he composed music for commercials and movies in Germany.6 In 1998, Hans Zimmer invited Badelt to work at Media Ventures in Santa Monica, California.6 Since then, Badelt has worked on film and television projects.6 In 2004, Badelt founded his own film music company, Theme Park Studios, in Santa Monica.6
Badelt's film credits include Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, The Time Machine, Poseidon, K-19: The Widowmaker, Equilibrium, and The Pledge.356 His work has grossed over $4 billion, been broadcast to over 2 billion people, and screened at major film festivals.3 Badelt also composed the music for the closing ceremonies at the Beijing Olympics in 2008.36
Badelt founded Filmhub in 2016 to create a platform for content creators to list their titles and get deals with global streaming services.46 Filmhub allows filmmakers to distribute their content directly to over 100 streaming channels.6 As of January 2022, Filmhub has over 10,000 titles on its platform.2
Prior to Filmhub, Badelt founded Wunderhorn Inc. in 1997, where he worked as Owner, Composer, and Producer.14 From 1992 to 1997, he was a Composer for Ralf Zang Musikverlag, and from 1985 to 1992, he co-founded Concept Computer.4 Badelt studied Information Technology at RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau.4 He also has certifications as an Architecting in AWS Expert (Pluralsight, November 2021), AWS Certified Developer - Associate (Amazon Web Services, February 2018), and Certified Novell Engineer™ (CNE) (Novell, January 1991).14
