It was developed over a year ago by a product team of four designers in 3 months! There was one mistake made during the first EVT iteration only. After the fix it booted and worked without problems.
It seems, we developed it too early. A year later, there was only one similar router on the market from the Xiaomi.
My most favorite and complicated PET project.
Six years ago I decided to get an amateur radio call sign and make my own SDR DDC/DUC transceiver. What happened as a result?
- I've got callsign - UT2UK
- 7 types of PCBA * 3 releases = 21 PCBA samples
- The mechanical design - 20 parts * 2 releases (laser cut, metal stamping, milling, laser engraving etc)
- The 32 GIT repos. The main module repo consists > 70K C/C++ code lines
- The four different HW platforms - TI's TMS320C67xx , ARM9, Ti's PRUSS controllers, MCU M51 from Nuvoton
- The technological stacks: QNX ARM C/C++, DSP C/ASM, Matlabs , Ti' PRUSS C, M51, C, JS for the WEB remote control , Intel FPGA Verilog etc
- Over $10K expenses - R&S spectrum analyser, signal generator, Anritsu VNA, 50 ohms loading, R&S power detector from eBay etc
- More than 70 users in different countries

What's next - a new version of the transceiver. It seems like it will never end 🤔
