Krishna Thiagarajan is a highly educated individual with a diverse academic background. He completed his Abitur at Stadtgymnasium Dortmund and pursued further studies at reputable institutions.

Krishna holds a Doctorate in Music from the University of Maryland College Park, a Masters in Piano from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, and a Bachelors of Music in Piano Performance from the same institution. He also obtained a Certificate in Strategic Perspectives in Nonprofit Management from Harvard Business School.

In terms of his professional experience, Krishna Thiagarajan currently serves as the CEO and President of the Seattle Symphony. He has previously held leadership positions at prestigious organizations such as the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, Symphony in C, Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, and Kammermusik Kurs Dortmund.

His impressive career includes roles as Chief Executive, Executive Director, President, Senior Director of Artistic Operations and Education, Artistic Director, as well as a Performing pianist and chamber musician at International Concert Pianist. Krishna has also contributed to academia as a Piano Faculty at the University of Central Arkansas and an Associate Instructor for Piano at the University of Maryland.

With a wealth of experience in the music industry and nonprofit management, Krishna Thiagarajan is a notable figure known for his leadership and expertise in the classical music realm.
