Being entrepreneurial at heart, Kristen has co-founded successful ventures in food, agriculture, and climate sectors. Her ventures include an urban agriculture firm with Colorado's first outdoor rooftop farm, a regenerative farm and food processing center in Vermont, and a waste-to-value project in Ghana.
In addition to her entrepreneurial endeavors, Kristen has led startup accelerator programs, offering guidance to early-stage entrepreneurs on product design, go-to-market strategy, and financial best practices.
Kristen Moree holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Finance and Financial Accounting from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. She also pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with a minor in Environmental Issues and a concentration in Mathematical Economics from Colorado College.
Furthering her education, Kristen completed the Frontier Market Scouts Fellowship Program with a Certificate in Impact Investing and Social Enterprise Management at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. She also studied at the University of Ghana.
Throughout her career, Kristen has held various roles in esteemed organizations such as Builders Vision, SJF Ventures, Mercy Corps Ventures, Bio-Logical Capital LLC, The Nature Conservancy, Village Capital, Pearson Affordable Learning Fund, and others, where she contributed to investment management, consulting, project management, and market research.
