Kristen Sweet is a clinical scientist specializing in late stage clinical development with a focus on rheumatology, autoimmunity, and immunology. She has a wealth of experience in designing, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting biomarker data from clinical trials in these areas, particularly in rheumatology and autoimmune conditions. Kristen's professional background includes roles at Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) where she worked extensively on early and late stage clinical studies. She holds a PhD in Genetics and Molecular Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, along with a Certificate in Translational Medicine. Her doctoral research involved developing automated high-throughput qPCR assays for profiling herpesviruses in human samples. Post-PhD, Kristen worked at Thomson Reuters as a research scientist, assisting pharmaceutical clients with clinical data management, data curation using SAS, and conducting user trainings for the tranSMART translational medicine data repository/analysis tool.
