Kristin Van Busum is a passionate advocate for global education equality and the founder of Project Alianza, an international education NGO focused on providing education to children in remote areas of Central America.

With Project Alianza, Kristin has successfully educated over 10,000 children in isolated farming communities in Nicaragua, Guatemala, and El Salvador, continually expanding their reach and impact.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Kristin and her team adapted to provide education through technological means and radio programs for children who lack access to electricity.

Aside from her work with Project Alianza, Kristin Van Busum is the driving force behind SpeakHero, a platform that assists emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in enhancing their public speaking, presentation, and pitching skills, both on stage and in business settings.

Kristin leads workshops through SpeakHero to empower individuals to speak confidently, listen actively, and negotiate fearlessly, contributing to their professional growth and success.

Furthermore, as an entrepreneur in residence at MassChallenge, Kristin mentors social innovators dedicated to driving positive change in the world, supporting them through their entrepreneurial journey.

Kristin Van Busum's educational background includes a Master of Public Administration (MPA) in Public Policy Analysis from New York University and studies at Butler University.

Her professional journey features roles such as Founder & CEO of Project Alianza, Co-founder & Head Public Speaking Coach at Women Speaks with BostonSpeaks, and Fulbright Scholar with the Fulbright Association.

She has also held positions like Manager of Health Advisory Services at the RAND Corporation, Research Analyst in Public Finance and Public Policy at New York University, and Health Economics Research Associate & Teaching Assistant at NYU School of Medicine.
