Kristina Thomas is a recent graduate of the international Journalism Master's program, the "Erasmus Mundus Master in Journalism, Media and Globalisation" offered by various prestigious institutions including University of Aarhus, Danish School of Media and Journalism (DMJX), Hans-Bredow-Institut für Medienforschung, and University of Hamburg. The program provided her with a critical and analytical perspective on journalism's evolving landscape.

During the summer of 2023, Kristina conducted her thesis research in #Kyiv, focusing on the role of Ukrainian journalists amidst the Russian invasion.

Since April 2021, Kristina has been developing her journalism career as a freelance journalist, contributing to reputable publications such as Tagesspiegel and Tagesspiegel Background with a focus on topics like energy, climate, and sustainable finance.

Her passion lies in international reporting and cross-border issues, with particular interests in climate and energy policies, human rights, the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, and its societal and environmental impacts.

Kristina's expertise covers regions including Germany, Eastern Europe, Ukraine, and Russia. She holds a BA (Hons) in Journalism and Ethnicity & Human Rights from the University of Central Lancashire, along with a specialization in Journalism from her Erasmus Mundus Masters.

Her professional experience spans various roles such as freelance journalism, marketing, communication, PR, and online marketing, providing her with a diverse skill set and a well-rounded understanding of media landscapes.

With a solid academic foundation and practical experience, Kristina Thomas is poised to make significant contributions in the field of journalism, focusing on critical global issues and impactful storytelling.
