Highlights
I had a fantastic time engaging with our customers at the AWS New York Summit. Dr. Matt Wood delivered an insightful keynote unveiling an array of generative AI capabilities. Since 2023, AWS has introduced 326 generative AI features into general availability, setting the stage for further innovation ☁ 🚀
Some of my favorite highlights from the summit include:
- Amazon Q Developer can generate even better suggestions because it can now include internal APIs, libraries, best practices, and architectural patterns
- Agents for Amazon Bedrock now retain memory across multiple interactions over time to provide more personalized and seamless experiences, especially for complex tasks.
- Knowledge Bases for Amazon Bedrock support additional data sources (preview) including Salesforce, Confluence, and SharePoint..
- The introduction of more Guardrails for Amazon Bedrock to de-risk generative AI, featuring contextual grounding checks to detect hallucinations. Contextual grounding checks make sure large langue model (LLM) responses are based on the right enterprise context when the application is using RAG. It also evaluates the LLM response to ensure it's relevant to the user's query or instruction—an industry-leading capability..
