I'm thrilled to share that a paper detailing the impact of my film, "Dear Tampa Bay," has been published in an academic journal! Huge thanks to the National Wildlife Federation and The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine for their invaluable collaboration.

The paper, titled "Dear Tampa Bay: Creating and Leveraging a Climate Resilience Documentary Film Using Storytelling for Citizen Engagement," explores the critical importance of increasing climate literacy among local leaders in the Tampa Bay region. As one of the most vulnerable areas globally, Tampa Bay faces escalating challenges from the climate crisis, including rising sea levels, extreme rainfall, flooding, hurricanes, and record-breaking heat.

The paper assesses the film's impact on over 250 local community members, highlighting the effectiveness of storytelling in enhancing understanding, fostering urgency, and promoting collective action. It's a testament to the power of storytelling to convey meaning, evoke emotions, and drive positive change.
