Highlights
Last night, I found myself in Windsor, reflecting on a journey that began 17 years ago today when I moved to Los Angeles. This anniversary, celebrated in the UK for the third time, is a poignant reminder of the immense gratitude I have for living my dreams.
Yesterday, after a day of exploring, I ended up in Windsor, a place I’ve visited twice in the past three weeks and four times in the last year or so. Strangely, during this visit, I only took one picture. It felt odd, almost as if by not capturing more, I was somehow taking the moment for granted. The familiarity of Windsor’s streets and the iconic Castle made it seem unnecessary to document the experience yet again, but it left me questioning: How can I be more grateful in this moment? How can I ensure that I’m fully appreciating an experience that so many people dream of having?
Gratitude is more than a feeling; it’s an acknowledgment of the countless moments that have led to this point. It’s recognizing the privilege of being able to live out my dreams in a city where so many come to do the same. It’s about understanding that every step, whether taken in LA or London, is part of a larger story—one that is still being written.
True gratitude goes beyond the act of capturing a moment. It lies in fully immersing one’s self in the present, in recognizing the uniqueness of each experience, even when it has become familiar. It’s about appreciating the history, the atmosphere, and the privilege of being in such a place, knowing that many save for years to have just one visit.
To those from my roots, from where my story began, your love and memories continue to be my guiding stars. They illuminate even the darkest LA (or Windsor) nights, offering comfort and direction when the path forward seems uncertain. To the friends I’ve made along the way, our shared laughter, tears, and dreams have forged bonds stronger than any script Hollywood could ever produce.
These past 17 years have been a testament to gratitude. Every moment, challenge, and triumph has deepened my appreciation for the opportunities that have come my way, the people who have supported me, and the cities around the world that have embraced me.
So, as the locals would say, “Cheers” to the past that has shaped us, the present that holds us, and the future that awaits. To each of you who have been part of this journey, thank you. I am truly grateful.
