What distinguishes one community or team from another?
Besides conflict management, a strong culture is another crucial element in building robust teams and communities. During the annual Stanford University Graduate School of Business reunion, GSB Dean Jon Levin (and incoming Stanford University President) emphasized the importance of the GSB culture. When asked about his initial impressions of GSB upon joining the school, he spoke of the strong GSB culture based on collaboration and community. He cited the work of GSB prof. Charles O’Reilly, who studies #leadership, organizational behavior, #diversity, and #culture.
Furthermore, Dean Levin provided a tip on how to find out about a team culture before joining it by asking a straightforward question, "What does it take to succeed in this team/community?"
When we all are talking about technology and the future of AI, it is important to consider what makes one community stronger than another, especially when it comes to teams and organizations that are leading the way in new AI innovation and AI product development.

Don't be afraid to be laughed at! You might be seeing something other people don't see YET!
In Oct 2018, I got laughed by Intel Interim CEO at that time when I presented our tech strategy research on why NVIDIA will win the #AI market. In this Fall-2018 Semiconductor Strategic Management session with Robert Alexander Burgelman and George W. Cogan, I was fortunate to work with a team of super-intelligent super-insightful GSBers (Riya Gayasen Sahil Yakhmi Mo Islam Mauricio Carvajal) at Stanford University Graduate School of Business to analyze Nvidia's position in the #AI market. Our research concluded that Nvidia is well-positioned to dominate the #AI market. When presented to the Interm CEO of Intel, he laughed at us :)
Fast forward ~5.5+ yrs later, Stanford University Graduate School of Business was celebrating NVIDIA's Jensen Huang in a View from the Top Seminar, only few steps away from where our 2018 presentation took place and with Nvidia's stock price trading at $850+ (from $33 at that time in 2018).
