Lan Chang

Lan Chang is a seasoned communications professional with over 13 years of experience, currently leading the PR/communications team at Google in Taiwan, the company's largest operations site in Asia Pacific.

With a background in international relations and political science, Lan holds a Master of Arts in International Relations from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from National Taiwan University.

Throughout her career, Lan has worked in various communications roles for multinational corporations, PR agencies, and non-profit organizations in the U.S. and Greater China region, specializing in the information technology industry.

Her expertise spans external communications such as Corporate, Policy, Product (Search, Maps, YouTube, Android, Hardware, AI/ML, Cloud...), Ads/B2B, and Social, as well as internal communications for thousands of employees across multiple offices and data centers.

Prior to her current position at Google, Lan managed communications activities and public affairs for Taiwan and Hong Kong.

She kick-started her career with a background in foreign policy analysis and government relations, later transitioning into the field of communications.

Lan's educational journey includes summer programs in Mass Communications & Political Science at the University of California, Berkeley, and Language & Culture at The University of British Columbia. She also founded the NTU Model United Nations Club while pursuing her B.A. in Political Science at National Taiwan University.

In addition to her current role at Google, Lan held various positions at Google, BenQ Corporation, Weber Shandwick, American Society of International Law, and The Heritage Foundation.

Lan Chang's diverse and extensive experience in communications and her educational background in international relations make her a valuable asset in the PR industry.
