Lani Fortier holds a Master's degree in International Development from Brandeis University, Heller, and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Exercise Physiology/Biology from The University of Connecticut.

With a robust and diverse professional background, Lani Fortier is a seasoned leader in the humanitarian sector. Currently, she serves as the Director for Delivery in Emergencies at the International Rescue Committee.

Prior to her current role, Lani Fortier has held various key positions within the International Rescue Committee, including Associate Director, Field Director, Deputy Field Director, and Health Consortium Team Leader.

In addition to her tenure at the International Rescue Committee, Lani has contributed her expertise as an Independent Consultant, Project Design Coordinator at USAID/Liberia, and Liberia Fellow/Special Advisor to the Minister of Gender and Development at John Snow, Inc. (JSI).

Her career also includes roles such as Program Assistant at Population Services International, Director of Operations at charity: water, and Crew Member at Mercy Ships.

With a wealth of experience in emergency response, program management, and operations, Lani Fortier continues to make a significant impact in the field of humanitarian aid and development.
