His journey began in the Cabrini Green neighborhood of Chicago, where he experienced the challenges of living in an underserved community. Fortunately, Larry became aware of Boys Hope Girls Hope, an impactful residential scholarship program designed to provide essential housing and educational opportunities to at-risk youth in inner-city areas. This initiative changed the trajectory of his life, allowing him to attend Loyola Academy, further fueling his aspirations for a successful career in the business world.
Larry pursued his higher education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Risk Management and Insurance from the esteemed Wisconsin School of Business. During his time in university, he demonstrated his academic prowess not only by focusing on essential insurance principles but also by engaging in diverse experiences such as studying abroad at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. This international exposure enriched his understanding of global business dynamics, enabling him to apply a unique perspective when addressing complex challenges in his career.
Additionally, Larry gained valuable hands-on experience while being involved in various roles at Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., initially starting as an intern and eventually progressing into an Account Executive and now into a leadership role. His rise within the company exemplifies his dedication and relentless pursuit of excellence, showcased through his ability to adapt and thrive in different capacities.
