Laura Cronin is a multifaceted professional known for her work as a Writer, Director, and Producer at Pound Pictures, an independent multi-media production company she founded in 1994. Pound Pictures specializes in narrative film shorts, experimental videos, and documentaries that delve into the complexities and diversities of the human experience. In addition to her role at Pound Pictures, Laura offers her expertise as a freelance Assistant Director for various local TV, Film, and Commercial projects.

Laura's academic journey is marked by her dedication to the arts and literature. She pursued a Ph.D.-ABD in Comparative Literature and Film, an MA in Italian Literature and Film, a BFA in Printmaking, and a BA in Italian Literature, all from the University of Washington.

Throughout her career, Laura has been actively involved with several organizations within the film and arts industry. She has held key positions such as Lead Producer at Northwest Film Forum, Writer/Director/Producer at Pound Pictures, Producer/Director at B47, First AD at The Big Half Hour, UPM/Assistant Director at Biz Kid$, President at Women In Film/Seattle, Instructor at the Center on Linguistic and Cultural Democracy, Line Producer at The Graffiti Artist, and held internships at Seattle Int'l Film Festival and 911 Media Arts.
