Laura Erazo Santanilla is a dedicated art historian specializing in Modern and Contemporary Art with a keen interest in Contemporary Latin American Art and Contemporary Textile/Fiber Art.

She is a Senior pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Art History at Savannah College of Art and Design, where she hones her expertise in the field.

Laura has a rich background in various art-related roles, including positions such as Art Administration Intern at Hank Willis Thomas Studio, Gallery Intern at The Journal Gallery, Gallery Assistant at SITUATIONS NYC, Resource + Artist in Residence Intern at Textile Arts Center, Curatorial Intern at Telfair Museums, and Gallery Docent at Gutstein Gallery among others.

Her research focuses on the intricate relationship between thread and fiber as agents of history, both in conceptual and tangible aspects, exploring their capacity as conveyors and creators of historical narratives.

With a diverse range of experiences and a deep passion for art, Laura Erazo Santanilla continues to contribute meaningfully to the art community and academic discourse.
