Laura Fox

Laura Fox is an urban advocate, art and design enthusiast, and Chicago-native with a passion for adventure and literature. She is currently the General Manager of Citi Bike at Lyft and a professor at NYU Stern, having studied MBA with a focus on Strategy, Finance, and Urban Systems at NYU Stern, B.A. in Literature with an Italian minor at the University of Notre Dame, and Art History, Literature, and Italian at John Cabot University Rome.

Throughout her career, Laura has been involved with various prominent organizations, from being a Senior Fellow at MIT Mobility Initiative to Co-Founding and Managing Partner at Streetlife Ventures. She has also served as an Advisor at Commonweal Ventures and Voltpost, on the Board of Directors of The Friends of Governors Island, and as an Associate Director at Sidewalk Labs.

Laura's professional journey includes roles such as Adjunct Professor at NYU Stern School of Business, General Manager and Senior Director at Citi Bike within Lyft, and positions at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), including as a Project Leader and Consultant. She has also been a Co-Founder at The Conversation Lab, an Urban Tech Product Innovation Fellow at NYU Stern Post-MBA International Social Impact Fellowship, and an Urban Innovation Consultant at BRAC.

Additionally, Laura has experience as a Digital Strategist at Qatar Museums, an Associate Marketing Manager at Morningstar, a Freelance Writer, Editor, and Public Speaker for various publications and organizations, and a former Publicity Department Intern at Simon and Schuster. Her diverse background showcases a blend of business acumen, urban innovation, and a deep passion for literature and art.
