Laura Guarnotta is a seasoned UX manager with a strong focus on iterative product design. Currently, she holds a leadership position at Verily, an Alphabet company, overseeing a team of UX designers and researchers working on Verily Health Platforms. Prior to this role, Laura established a team at Google Search concentrating on news and the publisher ecosystem, where various projects such as Google Search results for news, the Google News app, Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP), and Stories on Google were successfully launched. Her extensive experience includes leading teams and product design initiatives with Android, Google Adwords, Google Commerce, and Forrester Research. As a Reuters Foundation Digital Vision Fellow at Stanford, Laura concentrated on technology ventures for developing regions, such as usability testing an open-source microfinance application for Grameen. During her tenure at Forrester Research, she created an in-house usability program and spearheaded the design and launch of new products like the Forrester Wave. Laura excels in aligning teams with user-centered objectives, conducting ethnographic interviews, usability and concept testing, field research, persona development, project management, user panel administration, surveys, and cultivating high-performing teams.
