Laura Jastrzab Binney is a lecturer at Bangor University and the Course Director for the MSc program in Clinical & Health Psychology.14 She is also a lecturer for Professional Skills in Psychology (PPP-4007) and Theoretical Models in Clinical Psychology (PPP-4013).1

Her research interests include the intersection of social neuroscience and social robotics, as well as the neuropsychological and psychosocial outcomes associated with pediatric brain injury. Her broader research focuses on neuroplasticity and the exploration of cognitive domain representation within the brain.1

Laura obtained a Ph.D. in Social Neuroscience and Social Robotics from Bangor University. She was a Ph.D. graduate from Kami Koldewyn's lab, co-supervised by Emily S. Cross.3 Before pursuing her Ph.D., Laura worked in several large US research institutions and as a registered Educational Psychologist in the UK and US.2

Laura is interested in understanding how humans perceive human and non-human social interactions, the neural mechanisms involved, and how these perceptions differ across the lifespan, between cultures, and between those with typical and atypical development.2
