Laura Northey is an accomplished professional with a diverse background in communications, marketing, and organizational management.

She holds a Graduate Certificate in Corporate Communications and Public Relations from Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology, a B.A. Honours in English Literature from Carleton University, and completed her secondary education at Centre Hastings Secondary School.

Laura has held various key positions throughout her career, including serving as the Communications and Government Relations Manager at the Ecological Farmers Association of Ontario.

With experience in the non-profit sector, she has also acted as the Acting Executive Director and Communications and Membership Manager at the Organic Council of Ontario.

Her expertise extends to event management, communications, and marketing, having been an Events and Communications Intern at Sporting Life 10K at Camp Oochigeas and a Marketing Officer at the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources.

Laura has also worked in roles involving public relations, such as Director of Communications at Doctors for Doctors/ Nurses for Nurses, and engaged in farm management as a Farm Manager at Northey Stables Farm and a Farming Intern at Highland Farm.

Furthermore, she has experience in administrative duties, having worked as an Administrative Assistant for Events and Contests at the Canadian Mathematical Society.

Her involvement in political campaigns includes serving as the Communications and Volunteer Coordinator for the Campaign to Elect John Lawson at the Green Party of Ontario.
