In my last LinkedIn update I had just made the decision to leave Funding Circle. I was leaving the place that had given me the opportunity to work across four markets over almost seven years. Progressing from intern to senior project manager; I made great friends and grew a lot.
I decided to leave in August 2021 to step into the world of product management. Eight months and two jobs later the opportunity to rejoin came onto my radar and I jumped at the chance to interview and I am very fortunate to have been welcomed back into Funding Circle UK to start a new chapter.
The reason it has taken me this long to update my profile is perhaps because of how it could be perceived from the outside, from connections who could rightfully see my move as a step back into the familiar and comfortable.
After nine months back at the business (and classic end of year reflection 😃 ), I can post with self confidence and knowing that going back has been far from a return to comfort and the growth I was seeking externally was there to be found internally. I am currently helping build new products as Product Manager, I am happy and I am learning.
In my time away, I learned that the grass isn’t always greener and that there is always the opportunity to test yourself in a new way and keep developing whenever you find yourself at a company that is prepared to nourish you and help you grow.
I could not be happier to be back and I am excited to find out how far we can go to help small businesses grow! 💜

What a memorable ride it has been! I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of my peers and those that I have had a chance to work with and learn from over the years.
It has been a pleasure to be part of this amazing company which has changed the landscape of small business lending, and continues to build a better financial world for small businesses across the world.
Very soon I will be moving onto a new adventure and I am very excited to see what the future holds.
