Lauren Benetua is a professional with a strong background in museum studies and a passion for coaching civic and cultural institutions to build reciprocal relationships with their communities.

Lauren holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Museum Studies from Marist College and a BA in History of Art and Visual Culture, Classical Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz.

Throughout her career, Lauren has held various roles in organizations like OF/BY/FOR ALL, Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History, Betti Ono, Emerging Arts Professionals/ SFBA, San Jose Peace and Justice Center, ZERO1: The Art & Technology Network, San Jose Museum of Quilts & Textiles, and others.

Her experience ranges from being an Associate Director of Data & Memberships to roles like Community Datalyst, Dialogue Catalyst, Gallery Coordinator, Jolly Good Fellow, Administrative Coordinator, Program Coordinator, Curatorial Intern, and various other positions where she contributed greatly to the cultural and civic landscape.

Lauren has also been involved in education as she served as a tutor at University of California, Santa Cruz, and gained diverse experiences in areas like curatorial work, marketing, event management, and promoting fine art and music events.

With a rich tapestry of experiences in the arts and cultural sector, Lauren Benetua continues to make a significant impact by fostering equitable relationships between institutions and their communities.
