It’s National Infertility Awareness Week.
My family journey has been challenging. Multiple years of wishing, followed by IVF, 3 minor surgeries, 3 FETs, 3 successful implantations among 5 embryos, a rollercoaster of stress & emotions, and $70k in out of pocket costs. We are so grateful for our children - our incredible toddler Zoe, followed by our angel Emi (20 week stillbirth), and now 31 weeks pregnant with our rainbow girl. It took a huge support system medically, professionally and personally for them to get here.
Why am I so open about this?
1 out of 6 people experience infertility. It’s more common than diabetes and breast cancer. It’s the invisible illness that is crushing emotionally, physically and financially.
There's a huge opportunity for employers to offer fertility benefits. Everyone should be able to seek help, whether that be IUI, IVF, surrogacy, adoption, holistic fertility or therapy. 1 in 6… just think about how many of your employees and other great talent out there are impacted by infertility. Please, talk to your insurance broker or look into Carrot Fertility.
To those impacted by infertility, my prayers are with you. Reach out anytime… I’m happy to just listen and be there for you.

An incredible thing happened on Friday.
Jasmin Paris, a mom, veterinarian, and runner, became the first woman in history to finish the Barkley Marathons.
This race is no joke, with an average of 63k' elevation gain and 100-130 total miles (no watches allowed). Only maps to guide the runners, no aid stations, and a 60-hour time limit leaving little room for error.
Between 2017 to 2023, there were no finishers, and only 20 finishers since 1989, with a 99% dropout rate.
Jasmin finished with 99 seconds to spare. Her determination, belief, and ability to defy the odds, while balancing her family life with her career and running passion are truly inspiring.
This is a story that I'll be sharing with my daughter. With hard work and belief, anything is possible.
Read up on Jasmin Paris and the Barkley Marathons, “the race that eats its young”, for some weekend motivation. #BarkleyMarathons #JasminParis #Believe #InspiringWomen
