Earlier this month, I got to experience one of my favorite convenings of the year, the REDF Community Retreat! Being in community with ESE Leaders from all across the nation and getting to see so many of our Accelerator grads reminds me of the reason why we do the work we do. Employment Social Enterprises continue to open doors, debunk myths, and breakdown barriers creating a world where economic power is within reach for everyone. I am grateful for the ecosystem I'm in, but especially grateful for my community.
To Table 11 aka 110% aka April Fenall, Cassandra Metter, Jalisa Burton, Jennifer Flanagan, Ms. Lutunji Abram, M.A., Mark Loranger, Robert Walker, Sallie Miller, and Shanita McAfee-Bryant, Thanks for giving 110%.
To Saaleha Bey I had so much fun co-facilitating Unleashing the Power of Radical Candor with you. I can't wait to co-facilitate more.
And finally, congratulations to the Community Retreat Core Team: Mette Rydahl Andersen, Brian Burrell, Aydon Lee, Andy Magel, Jalpa Patel, Sharmeen U., Sean Tennerson, and Dave Viotti! It was an incredibly joyful and thought-provoking experience. Thank you for your hard work. It showed.
Over the last 5 months the REDF Accelerator Class of 2024 gave themselves the time and permission to listen. Listening is an act of Leadership. I believe that leadership is not defined by the volume of your voice but by the depth of your convictions and the impact of your actions. True leadership knows no bounds of personality but is rooted in authenticity, empathy, and a steadfast commitment to your mission. I admire this group, because I have seen their leadership shine through in the ways that they deeply care for one another.
May your journey be filled with purpose, fulfillment, and endless possibility. Many congratulations to the Accelerator Class of 2024: Addison Shockley, Aleks Martray, Alisa Pifine, Caroline Johnston, Charmaine Landicho Baechle, Domonique Perkins, Jackie Huebbe, Jeff Delp, Kim Watson, BA, LeeAnn Krause, Mark G. Mulroe, Matthew Huff, Melissa Devos, Naseema Gilson, Sabine Langer, Sai Williams, Shirley Boubert-Rumble, Tate Williams, Ted Christians, Tracey Williams
A special thank you to our guest facilitators during this cohort. Your expertise and passion are such a huge benefit to the team and our Leaders: Galiana Fajardo, Kristen N. Green, Rony Cepeda, Jamie Stark, Elizabeth Heredia Benjamin, Emilie Linick, Riya Annamraju, Abbie Flis, and Brian Burrell.
And finally, Congratulations to the team on our last cohort until 2025. We did it! Mette Rydahl Andersen, Saaleha Bey, Yodit Beyene, and Stephanie Romero-Crockett
