I can’t believe that I will be running the New York Marathon in just 10 days!
I’ve training for months and I just completed a 20 mile run last weekend in preparation! Little known fact: unless you’re a wicked fast runner, you have to raise $3,000 for a charity of your choosing to participate in this, one of the world’s most famous marathons. This of course is a big undertaking, but when I heard about the charity Back on My Feet, I knew this was the perfect nonprofit for me. BOMF is unique because not only does it raise financial support to help people transitioning out of homelessness, but it also addresses the emotional support. And every dollar that’s raised has a two-and-a-half-dollar impact!
But I’m a procrastinator! (can anyone relate?) And I don’t like asking people for money! So right now I am only at 25% of my goal.
