Highlights
I’m happy to announce I’ve joined the Alexandria Economic Development Partnership (AEDP) as the Communications Manager and Content Creator for “The Best Small City for Business.”
Striking the perfect balance between feel-good and do-good content is a rarity and one I always strive for in my career. Working at AEDP allows me the space to do just that and then some.
In these past few months, I’ve worked alongside a passionate team making a difference, and have met some extraordinary people with stories to tell. Adding ribbon-cutting ceremonies and writing for City Council is something I never imagined and yet I feel so lucky to be a part of. Stay tuned for more exciting content to come!
I could not do without a few amazing peeps to light the way. A very special thanks to Vice President of Strategic Communications Liz Bolton and Junior Communications Designer Shayna Williams for giving me this great opportunity to join their #DreamTeam.
During my off time, I will continue as a contributing editor for Vogue, Harper’s BAZAAR Arabia, and more—writing for international audiences on the topics of culture, wellness, lifestyle, and fashion.
Have a story to share? A cozy #ALX coffee shop to recommend? Send me a message and let’s get to creating. In the meantime, follow along for some authentic reads worth the scroll.

Burnout. The word alone evokes candles snuffed, fires extinguished, flames slowly dimmed. But for those who suffer from the phenomenon, the notion of a bright light turned dark—whether that happens emotionally, physically, or mentally—is powerfully real. So what, exactly, is burnout? And how does one recover from it?
A little reminder to be kind to yourself. Thank you to Gretchen Rubin, Dr. Natalie Azar & Kesi Irvin for their pearls of wisdom 🦪✨
