Is consumer confidence back? It’s getting there, but it depends on whom you ask. My colleagues Patrick Witschi, Gabriela Barrios, Aparna Bharadwaj, and I looked at consumer sentiment and found differences between emerging markets like Brazil, China, and India, and the more mature markets of Germany, the UK, and the US. Consumer spending is up overall — and consumers generally expect to keep spending more — but in many cases, that may be because of inflation, not because they’re buying more. Some spending categories are also more resilient than others. Knowing the difference is the key to success for companies that that depend on consumer spending, and we're excited to launch BCG’s first edition of our latest Consumer Sentiment Barometer: https://lnkd.in/esa9Xtsp #consumersentiment #customerinsights #resilience
Great article by my colleagues Peter Dewey, Raakhi Agrawal, Leonardo Fascione, and Austin Davis on the often under-valued brand sponsorship - the key is smart measurement by demand space
