Laurimar Garcia is a recent graduate of Masters of Design from the Illinois Institute of Technology, with a background in Anthropology and Greek and Roman Civilization from the University of Notre Dame.

With a passion for applied Anthropology and human-centered design, Laurimar is skilled in design processes, creative research techniques, and communication design.

She is actively involved in entrepreneurship through her work with Nubit LLC., focusing on developing services and offerings, particularly enjoying the startup community's grassroots aspects.

Laurimar excels in establishing empathy with users and generating solutions based on derived needs, seeking opportunities to apply her skills in research, quick prototyping, and design processes in her career.

Her skill set includes ethnographic research, information diagramming, rapid prototyping, concept development, sewing, and fabrication.

Proficient in tools such as InDesign, Illustrator, Keyshot, Photoshop, and the Microsoft Office Suite, Laurimar is also a native Spanish speaker.

She has knowledge in Rhino 3D, Premiere, and enjoys salsa dancing.

Laurimar has a diverse work history, including roles as a Design Specialist at Graham Allen Partners, Design Research Intern at Adaptive Path, and various other positions in design, research, and serving across different organizations and internships.
