Just this morning we woke up to the news that Dror Or who was thought to be abducted on October 7th and held in Gaza was murdered on the same day. His wife was also murdered that day. Their two children Noam and Alma now discover they only have each other 💔
For the last 6 months I’ve been involved in an incredible organisation close to my heart, Israeli Children's Fund
The ICF was founded to raise critical funds for the 400+ Israeli children who lost one or both of their parents in the October 7 massacre. ICF’s mission is to help these children on the path to healing with the resources, support and love they need to flourish in life - despite the devastating tragedy and loss they endured that day.
The stark figures
- 406 children left parentless
- 31 of them orphaned by both parents
- 196 families shattered forever
- 70% of the deceased parents were fathers, most of whom were primary breadwinners.
The ICF has already extended over 1 Million NIS (over $500,000 USD) in immediate support, while laying the financial, legal and structural foundation to ensure these children have stability long-term. The goal is to support each child both financially and professionally through various life milestones and into adulthood. To give them hope and to show them they are not alone.
With Yom Ha'atzmaut coming up on May 14, donating to the ICF is a meaningful way to contribute to Israel during this difficult time. Your contribution will help us lift up the next generation by raising critical funds to help the hundreds of Israeli children who lost so much.
