Highlights
Grateful for my community of fellow PR and marketing professionals! Met up with Cynthia Ruf this morning to talk through a PR campaign strategy. What a wealth of information! Thanks for sharing your time and expertise.
Some great reminders to focus on fundamentals:
•Work with what you have. Tie together seemingly disparate content and stories into something new. •Be focused. Know your audience and find the key media personalities who write, talk, publish stories like yours. •Build relationships. Create a conversation with the person you are sending a press release to. So they don't take your first one; understand why and take those learnings and apply it to your next release. •Start with one. When building a culture of storytelling inside your organization get a win to showcase internally; it will lead to more.
What are your pro-tips for getting your stories picked up?

Through the births of two children, a pandemic, an uprising, a swell of local advocacy, and a career change, the Augsburg University Master of Arts in Leadership program was the companion I didn't know I needed to navigate so many new and unprecedented situations.
Every course I took in this program gave me tools, knowledge, and resources to apply directly in my personal and professional life. The professors, my peers, and the content of the courses supportively challenged my understanding of myself and how I operate in the world.
I can honestly say I am a better version of myself from having gone through this program.
And now it's official, my diploma arrived in the mail, I am a graduate of the Master of Arts in Leadership program. I will continue to realize the gifts of this program throughout my life as I navigate new challenges. I am forever grateful for the community of learners who gave me so much throughout the program.
Thank you especially to Tom Morgan Alan Tuchtenhagen Carolyn Evans, Ph.D. Deanna Davis John Schmit
