I’ve found it harder to engage on LinkedIn this year.
I could blame it on the pressure of leading a fast moving business or a combo of that and being dad to two young boys but the reality is that I’ve been hit by the inertia of grief from losing my Dad at the start of this year.
What I’ve realised is this isn’t about ‘getting over it’ or ‘moving on’ or being more grateful. Borrowing some words I read recently, grief ebbs and flows and that’s ok. I could try and shoehorn some business analogy here but that’s not what this is about.
Starting next Saturday, I am cycling Lands End to John O’Groats raising funds for Arthur Rank Hospice. It’ll be a proper challenge and a chance for remembrance. If anyone I know would like to support me that would be greatly appreciated.

I just love The Marketing Meetup. The community they've built, the joy they bring to what they deliver, everything...
I'd like to hide it more and be a bit cooler about it but instead I'm posting about it here 🤷♂️
Why am I gushing today? - well, this afternoon I'm on a TMM webinar with Joe Glover and Stuart Hurst.
Join us today at 2pm to hear what marketers should be aware of when it comes to finance (and how to work best with us finance folk!) ✌
