Temporary Project Coordinator at The University of the West Indies

Leigh-Ann Worrell is a dedicated communicator with a strong background in journalism, particularly in arts, leisure, and entertainment. With a passion for feminist and black anti-racist women's liberatory movements in the Caribbean and the black diaspora, as well as love and desire at the margins, Leigh-Ann brings a unique perspective to her work. Academically, she holds a Master's Degree in Women's and Gender Studies from Carleton University, a Master's Degree in Social Development and Public Policy from Beijing Normal University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from the University of the West Indies, Mona. Currently, she coordinates projects and outreach activities at the Institute for Gender and Development Studies: Nita Barrow Unit, using she/her pronouns.
