TL;DR: Coupang (the Amazon of South Korea) where I work is on a hiring spree, with about 20 open positions in Mountain View, including roles for ML engineers specializing in computer vision (where I'll the PM on the pod!) plus many other ML, backend engineering, and data science positions. Lastly, my take on Coupang thus far: I've genuinely enjoyed my experience at Coupang. It's more than just the very competitive pay or the caliber of colleagues, who've come from places like Meta, Google, Amazon, Walmart. What stands out to me is the pace at which we move - the culture here is geared towards rapid experimentation, much like my days at Meta but even more accelerated. And it's not just about speed for the sake of it; there's a deliberate focus on prioritization and refinement. We often start with ideas that don't scale, perfect them, and then expand quickly.
